GrantPulse was born from experience — and a deep respect for the people behind every nonprofit.
After more than 25 years in the sector as a manager, leader, and consultant, Nic Blanchet noticed a pattern that never seemed to go away. No matter the size or cause, most organizations faced the same frustrating challenge: tracking grant expenses and "doing my receipts" was consuming far too much time and energy.
What should have been a simple, process had become a daily burden — spreadsheets, confusion, unanswered questions and many hours lost that could have been spent making a difference. It wasn’t just inefficient; it was disheartening.
Nic knew something had to change. So he set out to build a solution from the inside out — one shaped by the real needs of nonprofits, not by software engineers who had never worked in one.
